Blown Alcohol Displacement back in action!

Blown Alcohol Displacement back in action!

The wait is over. At long last the cell retro-fit has been completed on our 21ft Evercraft!

As you can see by the pictures, our new look blown boat certainly delivers on looks. As per the Tuff'E'Nuff Racing Team's custom, our aim is to match this with the boat's performance.

Tuff'E'Nuff B.A.D cell retro fit - the final product.

Getting the boat to this point has certainly been a lengthy process, but nonetheless it has been a thorough process with no expense spared and the crew's strive for perfection is evident in the final product. Every 't' has been crossed and every 'i' has been dotted- if there was a way the boat could be improved then you can be assured it's been done over the last 10 months.

Following the completion of the rebuild, on Monday 10th October 2011, David Clark completed his first successful test run in the boat at the Adelaide Speedboat Club at the North Arm.

In what was to be expected, a few minor glitches with the fit out will need to be sorted out before David's first race in the boat but Mouse says he's got it covered.

Teething issues aside, David completed a number of laps both at low & high speed and is feeling confident in the performance of the boat on water.

"Yeah it's good, going really well, I'm happy."

"It hasn't really changed, the handling characteristics feel the same."

"It's going like 10 men & I'm confident handling some extra speed in the corners too."

Speaking of 10 men, David is only too thankful for everyone that has worked on the boat over the past 10 months and is happy with the engineering & craftsmanship carried out.

"I can't emphasize enough how good a job Vince & Dean Borg have done with the build of the cell, I'm very happy with the result."

"For all the work Mouse & Luke have done I can't thank them enough, they've put in huge amounts of time & effort & the end result is unreal."

"Dave, Big Don & Lonick have all done an awesome job & it wouldn't have happened without any of them."

Tuff'E'Nuff will be back in race waters during the 2011/2012 racing season & is set to feature in major events including Bundy Thunder and also the upcoming Marj Watson Trophy & Dorwin Gold Cup to be held on the 21st & 22nd of April respectively at the Adelaide Speedboat Club. This event is sure to bring some of the best B.A.D boats in the country including Chirs Palmer's 'Outlaw' & Troy & Derek Marland's 'Madness'.

6 months between now and then means there will be ample opportunity for Dave to get some more seat time in his new look toy and give him self the best chance possible for either of the 2 highly prestigious trophies.
