The team's return to racing has been a successful one with the boys taking second in the final race allbeit by a number of feet to an in form team 'Rythum'.
During the heats Dave scored the same number of points as the winner Wayne Hodgson who pipped him on the line in the final, squeezing 144mph out of the Childsplay. Dave only just missed out and was clocked at 141mph in the newly restored Evercraft.
One minor mishap for the team came by way of a faulty switch box which resulted in a non-start in one of the races. Fortunately a replacement was borrowed from Brett Sheppard who unfortunately broke a lifter on board 'Unleashed' and was out of action for the weekend.
"Everything's cool, the boat feels really good and it's holding it's head nicely." Dave said upon returning home from the weekend.
"It was the best race of the day (the final) and Rythum just got the extra few feet on me at the end."
"We clocked 141mph- that's not too bad."
The next appearance for the Tuff'E'Nuff team will be the club day held this coming Sunday 28th March at the North Arm. Pending approval from Mouse both boats will be there in full force.
