Happy New Year to all the racing fans out there!
2011 was a massive year for the team in converting our Evercraft boat and we are looking to get things going in 2012.
The Riverland town of Berri in South Australia will play host for the bi-annual event held directly in front of the renowned Berri Resort Hotel who are the Major Sponsor for the Boat Racing Spectacular.
This event has always been 1 of our favourites - the pristine location and excellent spectator viewing adds up to a memorable weekend that we wouldn't miss.
The previous event in 2010 was indeed memorable - who could forget Alan Newton in 'Truly Wicked' accidentally driving over the top of David Clark's 'Tuff'E'Nuff' after a spin in a full throttle race against the late Brian McCosker.
A more positive reflection of the 2010 event - James Clark had his debut race on board his brand new junior tunnel boat. It was a hectic one at that - all junior classes attempted to line up for a rolling start on the flag which made for plenty of traffic that James managed to maneuver through quite capably.
Since that year the Tuff'E'Nuff team have been dedicated to rebuilding the 21 foot Evercraft boat and it has undergone significant changes including a retro fitted enclosed cockpit and a new engine combination producing upwards of 2000 horsepower.
As many people may know there have been some straight line handling issues with the race boat and our effort to improve this will continue this weekend. A new propeller has been successfully tested and the results were very positive. David says enthusiastically:
"We ran a new prop the other day and it's heaps better."

"Everything's good with the boat now, feels heaps better and we're happy about heading back to Berri."
"We're looking forward to having a couple of drinks over the next couple of days, have a practice run on Friday afternoon, and then get into it on Saturday."
The Berri race course is a familiar one for veteran racer David Clark and he will be getting as much seat time as possible in order to improve the boat's performance.
Also along for the ride will be David's son James who is 2 racing seasons the wiser. Stepping up from 12 horsepower to the 15 horsepower category, James will be taking the next step in his racing career at the same location he began it at.
Fans can expect to see us on the water throughout the weekend (Saturday & Sunday), and a nosey around on Friday afternoon may be rewarded with a sneak peek!
See you at the racing,
The Tuff'E'Nuff Racing Team
Adam Stunell was left to represent the Tuff'E'Nuff Racing team on water with both James & David Clark stuck at home with illness. This meant the B.A.D & Tuff'E'Nuff Junior boat were left in their sheds.

We have returned from our longest journey on the racing calendar with plenty of work still to do. Bundy Thunder at Sandy Hook in Queensland provided a great opportunity to get some laps done in the new look Tuff'E'Nuff.

The wait is over. At long last the cell retro-fit has been completed on our 21ft Evercraft!
As you can see by the pictures, our new look blown boat certainly delivers on looks. As per the Tuff'E'Nuff Racing Team's custom, our aim is to match this with the boat's performance.
It may seem as though all is quiet at the Tuff'E'Nuff camp but the boys have been flat out working on the boat. Retro fitting an enclosed cockpit is certainly more work than meets the eye. Add the fact that we're replacing all the running gear in the boat- we've had an enormous task to handle and we're getting there.
